Students had to spell their last name or surname. Today they did better than last week.

We were reviewing the vocabulary we studied last week: this unit is about hobbies. Then students had to write some questions in the Present Simple form and ask their classmates the questions.

Nouns they are studying: stamps, chess, coins, cards, trading cards, magazines, guitar, piano, violin, flute, drums, shelf-shelves, bed, wardrobe, side table,

Verbs: collect, play, buy, practice, eat, drink, sleep, get dressed, read, watch, listen to, run, walk, catch, throw, make dinner, talk on the phone, sing, draw, paint, write, ride (a bike).

For the Olympic Games students had to write down 10 words that the teacher spelled for them.

Here are the scores

Player 2  8
Player 3  8
Player 4  10
Player 5   9
Player 6   8
Player 7   2

For homework  students need to ask their parents 5 questions in the Pr. Simple form.

Today was our 5th lesson. We started the lesson spelling our surnames or last names and saying our email address. Students ask the other students the following questions:

How do you spell your las name?

What´s your email address?

To say our email address we use the word at for @ and dot  for .

We were learning to talk about aour hobbies, matching verbs with nouns.

Vocabulary

Nouns: guitar, violin, piano, drums, stamps, coins, books, magazines, board games, chess, computer,

Verbs: play, read, collect, watch, listen to.

To talk about your hobbies you use the verb in the ing form: I like playing chess or I enjoy collecting coins.

Ana read her homework. WELL DONE, ANA, you were the only one in the group who had done the homework. The other students had to listen carefully, because I asked them questions to score for the Olympic Games.

We also did a little exercise, so students get used to receive and give instructions.

Walk slowly, walk fast, raise your hands, touch your feet, put your hands on your waist, bend your waist.

We played a game called Around the World: students had be faster saying the word on a flascard.

We did the Olympic Games but I had no time to check their exercise so the scores will not be published until next week.

HOMEWORK
You need to make a list of things you have in your bedroom and write 4 sentences about your hobbies. Example: I love playing tenis.

Students wrote a description of themselves.

We read some texts about different families. Everybody got to read aloud part of the text. They matched the texts to different pictures.

We are also learning to give different type of instructions.

For homework students must describe 3 people in their family. They must say what they look like (tall, short hair?) and what adjectives describe their personalities.

Maybe a little late to write here, but just in case, please remember to bring 2 or 3 photograpsh of your family. You need to tell us about them the way I did with my own photos during the class.

Example:These are my parents. My father is 55 years old and he likes money. The woman in red is his wife, my mother. She a very generous.
