We practiced questions in Past Simple, like: Did you wash your hair yesterday?
Then we started to prepare our Christmas play. Roles were given, students highlighted their lines and we read the play.
Here is the script: please learn your lines.

(enter 2 or 3 children who stand at the front of
the stage and say “Scene 1 The North Pole“
then exit)
(Enter elves, singing a typical Christmas song, Jingle Bells, or We
wish you a merry Christmas etc)
Elves: Hello
everyone.
Audience: Hello.
Elves: How are
you today?
Audience. Fine,
thank you. And you?
Elves: Fine
thank you. We are elves.
Elf 1: We
are small.
Elf 2: We
are happy.
Elf 1: We
are strong.
Elf 2: We
help Santa.
Elves: We
are .............. Santa´s elves!
Elf 1: We
make the presents.
Elf 2: We
put the presents in boxes.
Elf 1: We wrap the presents.
Elf 2: We put the presents on Santa´s
sleigh.
(Enter Santa)
Santa: Ho, ho, ho! Hello everyone.
Audience: Hello.
Santa: What’s
my name? (Asking the audience)
Santa: Yes, my name is Santa. I like
good boys and girls. I don´t like bad boys and girls. Are you bad?
Audience: No!!
Santa: Are
you good?
Audience: Yes!!!
Elves: What
time is it?
Santa: It’s Ch
ristmas time. Let’s go.
(Exit elves and San
Scene 2 In a house in
(insert name of town)
(enter 2 or 3 children who stand at the front of
the stage and say “Scene 2 In a house in ……“
then exit)

Child 1,2: Hello
everyone.
Child 1: It’s Christmas time.
Child 2: Do you like Christmas?
Child 1: Yes, I do. Do you like Christmas?
Child2: Yes,
I do.
Children: Do
you like Christmas? (Asking the audience)
Child 1: I’m very tired.
Child 2: Me, too I’m very tired.
Child 1: What time is it?
Child 2: It’s twelve o´clock.
Time for bed.
(They all go to sleep on the stage at the
side. Enter Santa and his elves tiptoeimg quietly)
Santa: Put
the presents under the tree.
(They all sing quietly, whispering)

(repeat)
(Exit everyone and enter robbers)
Robbers: Hello
everyone.
Billy: My
name is Billy

Tommy: My name is Tommy.
Robbers: We
are .... robbers!

the tune of “If you´re happy and you know it”
Billy: We
are strong.
Tommy: We
are fast.
Billy: We
are clever.
Tommy: I
am bad.
Billy: No,

I am bad.
Billy: You? Ha, ha, ha. I am bad.
Tommy: You? Ha, ha, ha. I am bad.
(Everyone
starts shouting “I am bad” etc)
Billy: Quiet!
I am bad .. and you ....
Tommy: Yes?
Billy: Are
an idiot! come on!
Tommy: Look!
presents!
Billy: Put
the presents in the bag.
(They all sing quietly, whispering)

(Repeat)
(Tommy is going to sneeze)
Tommy: Ah……ah…..ah…..
Billy: Shhhh!!!!!!!
Tommy: Ah……ah…..ah…..
Billy: Shhhh!!!!!!!
Billy: Achoo!
(The
noise wakes the children up)
Chidren: Aaaaahhhh!!!
Children. Who
are you?
Robbers: Ha,
ha, ha. we are fast, we are strong, we are .......robbers!
Children: Oh no!
(Enter Santa and the elves while they are saying this and they creep
up behind them)
(Santa and the elves poke them with their fingers
to get their attention)
Robbers: Yes? (Turning round to see who it
is)
Santa
, Elves: Merry Christmas!
(And Santa and the elves hit the robbers over the head and knock them
out and then everyone sings the final songï Sung to the tune of “Santa
Clause is coming to town.”ð)
Everyone sings: He is happy
He isn’t sad
He is good.
He isn’t bad.
Santa, Santa
is our friend.
He is happy
He isn’t sad
He is good.
He isn’t bad.
Santa, Santa
....... is ....... our ........... frieeeeeeeeend!
